Alpinist and mountain guide
... hold firmly and never let go!

How did I discover this kind of sport?
I did hitchhiking from Toblach/Dobbiaco to Bruneck/Brunico. A climber who was coming back from a mountain trip gave me a lift and told me about his exciting tour. He also told me that there are two different ways of climbing: the sport climbing and the alpine climbing. The sport climbing is a form of rock climbing that relies on permanent anchored fixed to the rock. Alpine climbing is more risky and therefore only “real” men can do it 
That’s the reason why a week later I started practicing this extreme sport, I wanted to be a “real” men!:-)

What do I love of this kind of sport/activity?
To be outside and to spend some nice time on the rock with my friends.

Why is the Tauferer Ahrntal/Valle di Tures e Aurina suitable for this kind of sport/activity ? And what do I find particularly great in this valley for that kind of sport?
As time passed I discovered also sport climbing and I really enjoy doing it. We can find many climbing walls in the Tauferer Ahrntal, from long to short. This region offers easy but also difficult climbing tours, so everyone can find his perfect climbing tour.

My inside tip
Open your eyes and admire the amazing beauty of this valley, during each season of the year. And remember to hold firmly and never let go!!
